For this haircut, we are at Pinones Beach just west of San Juan International Airport. We placed a chair over a king size sheet at the beach during sunset for a very special haircut on the beach.

Female barber Icey brought a bare bones set of barber tools - just enough to get the job done.
She gave me a combover with hard part mid-drop fade, and V cut in back.

Puerto Rico is a Caribbean island with a rich history, and is a US Territory.

Icey used to be a beautician -- but has been a barber now for 5 years. She didnt like all the chemicals of working in a beauty salon. Plus, I think being a badass barber fits her personality.

This face tattoo'd female barber is originally from NYC, but prefers barrio life. She has lived in Dominican Republic, but calls Puerto Rico her home now for 8 months.

Female barber Icey has many tattoos down her arms, and even on her face. Her face tattoo says "Barber Life." Her knuckles are tattoo'd with her name "Icey". Another tattoo shows her faith in God. This badass barber girl has a heart of gold.

Icey rents a chair in the barbershop and is developing a good following. But, we decided to take this barber video outside to the street. This way you can hear the streets of San Juan and even see the locals walking by. The Puerto Ricans have adopted her as their own, and she loves it.

Her son, Xavier, loves pepperoni pizza, empanadas and jarritos (which are Mexican sodas). He enjoys playing his Nintendo and hanging out at the barbershop with his mom.
