Most enjoyable to be back on the river in late April and as you can see, it was very much, 'business as usual' for local angler Michael. No drama with fly selection, as there is only one pattern in the box and it is just as effective this season as it was last season etc etc
Wielding his trusty Shakespeare Oracle rod, Michael effortlessly covers the water and his #6 fly, at the end of his 23lb Ace Hard tippet, does the rest.
The Sepa Gauge at Ness Side stood at +3" which equates to -5" on our own gauge. Water temperature was 7 degrees C or 46F.
