Bodies discovered, car ditched: police investigate double homicide in Sangre Grande.
• What began as a tip from an anonymous informant led officers to a chilling scene in a remote area of Nonpariel Road, Oropouche, Sangre Grande—now the focus of a double homicide investigation.
• Approximately 300 meters off the main roadway, officers from the Sangre Grande CID discovered a green Nissan Almera turned on its side in a ravine.
• Inside the vehicle, 23-year-old Codi Soodeen of Sangre Chiquito was found slumped over in the front passenger seat, showing signs of trauma to the neck.


Tea tragedy in Tobago: Chase Village woman dies after drinking moringa brew.
• The deceased has been identified as 41-year-old Iyana Castanada from Bolai Trace, Chase Village.
• She sadly passed away on Friday April 11th, 2025, after reportedly drinking a cup of moringa tea in Mason Hall, Tobago.
• A close friend said she began suffering from severe stomach pains shortly after consuming the tea.

A night out at Hooking Restaurant and Bar on La Plaisance Road, La Romain, ended in tragedy after a patron reportedly suffered a heart attack and died on the premises.
• The deceased has been identified as Nigel Steven Peruse.
• According to reports, Peruse collapsed while liming at the bar

Slaughter at Biche Lagoon as pregnant animals were butchered in broad daylight.
• A disturbing act of animal cruelty took place on Sunday April 13th, 2025 in the Biche Lagoon.
• A man, accompanied by several others, entered the area armed with guns and brutally shot and killed the majority of another man's livestock.

Cops Bitten while restraining a mentally ill man in Carapichaima on Saturday 12th April, 2025.
• While attempting to subdue Woods, 28, PC Sookraj was bitten on his left thumb, sustaining injuries.
• Additional officers, including PC Dass equipped with a Taser, responded and during the struggle, Woods bit PC Dass on his left leg.
• PC Dass then deployed his police-issued Taser four times, after which Woods was successfully subdued.

As the curtains closed on the State of Emergency (SoE), some detainees were freed while others were expected to appear in court.

Victim clings to life after brutal attack by suspects known to him.

A 51-year-old man was shot in the leg while in bed at his Crown Trace, Enterprise, Chaguanas home on Saturday 12th April, 2025.

A man was shot while waiting for his friend in Chaguanas on Friday 11th April, 2025.
• A 23-year-old Couva man is recovering after he was shot while sitting in his vehicle on Friday night in Enterprise, Chaguanas.

Bloody street feud in Siparia resulted in a man being stabbed over money owed.
• 19-year-old Omar Hosein is in police custody in connection with the stabbing of 38-year-old Andy Dubar.
• The incident happened on Sunday, April 13th, 2025, at Coora Branch Road, Siparia.

‘Apples’ and ‘Jammy’ strike – Calder Hall, Tobago labourer attacked and robbed:
• A 37-year-old a labourer from Bagatelle #2 in Tobago was beaten and robbed by two men known to him while walking along Calder Hall Road, Tobago around 1am on Sunday April 13th, 2025.

$9,600 was taken during a late-night heist at Haagen-Dazs Movie Town.

A van, Reg. No. TEH 30, was brazenly stolen on Sunday 13th April, 2025 from Chilli Boulevard, Gomez Trace, St. Mary’s, Moruga.
