“Empty Vessel” is the new single by Stone Submarines, released on 14th of August 2020. It became a part of the global project “Save The Ocean”, which was developed by the band together with Facebook and LocoMotive, a Polish post production house focused on AR/VR tech.

In the format of a multimedia project, the band draw the audience's attention to the problem of the ocean pollution, which is an extremely burning issue nowadays. This theme has come to light in the “Empty Vessel”, which is the soundtrack for the AR game on Instagram.

Its main character is a little submarine fighting against ocean pollution, it is operated by the player’s head moves – the main goal is to collect all the garbage from the bottom of the ocean.

The key message of the campaign is "Save The Ocean. Stay Home”. Despite the fact that pandemic restrictions are being eased in some countries, the situation can change at any moment. Moreover, non-recyclable masks and gloves slide into the ocean in disturbingly huge quantities and will remain the obligatory features of humans’ everyday life for a long time. That’s why staying at home now, if possible, is the easiest way to help the environment.

All the funds the band gained from the track streaming will be donated to to The Ocean Cleanup, the company that is fighting against ocean pollution.
