Designing TWO Rosters for the Next Mario Kart!

As huge as Mario Kart was before, the Switch era has seen it rise to astronomical heights. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has been a monumental success...and also the only mainline entry the series has had on the console. But with the Switch's successor on the horizon, a brand new Mario Kart is a safe bet to be one of its flagship titles!

Fans are already speculating over what direction the new entry could take. Would it be best for the next Mario Kart to return to the series' roots, tapping into all of the new ideas introduced to the Mario universe in the Switch era? Or could the next game take the crossover content present in Mario Kart 8 and go even further with it, bringing in even more Nintendo characters and worlds?

I think both have potential...so let's design rosters for both outcomes! With two full rosters, two sets of new drivers, and two sets of four cups (totaling 32 new courses to race on), this is a full theorycraft for two directions the next Mario Kart game could go in!
