I made Wanda's 50's dress! 👗 *because I'm obsessed*

When I first watched Wandavision I pretty much finished each episode by listing the outfits I was going to make. And now finally I’m putting talk into action, starting with her 50s evening look! (I can’t promise they will all be in order, but by god I am determined to make them all eventually).

This make was a real rollercoaster, the shoulder piece made me want to cry and the amount of times I sewed a fold into the bodice made me want to give up entirely 😅 but I was determined, and my abandoned project drawers are already full, so I knew I had to see this one through.

I can’t wait to take her out for a full shoot (even if I’m hella nervous about trying to do the hair and makeup). Results to follow soon 🖤

Where I got my petticoat: Dream Petticoats
Luxury 50's petticoat → 3 layers, ribbon trim, 31 inches long, no lining, all white.

Materials I used:
Approx. 4-5 meters blue satin crepe
Approx. 1 meter cotton poplin (interfacing)
Approx.1/2 meter old bedsheet (lining)
1 concealed zipper
A whole bunch of blue thread
(These are complete guess-timates, I'm not good at tracking how much I use in a project).
