This video shows the proof of a general formula of radius of in-circle. As a region bounded by 3 semicircles, arbelos drew the interest of Greek mathematicians, including Archimedes. Using deductive geometry and trigonometric tools, we can obtain the formula of the radius in terms of the radii of 2 semi-circles. Enjoy the process of exploration with animation!
