Happy New Year! It has been a minute since we've shared a homemade dehydrated meal recipe, so we figured what better way to start the new year!! These are some of our most highly requested videos, and we love making them. Let us know if you have a specific meal you'd like us to recreate for the trail for the next video!
The dehydrator we use: https://rstyle.me/+pKBZkblSQRzo7PDMB2...
You will need:
1 lb ground beef
1 white onion, diced
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1 can kidney beans
2 tbsp tomato paste
2 tbsp minced garlic
4 boxes of Mac and cheese
1 can corn
Pepper, Salt, Garlic Powder, Chili Powder, and Paprika to Taste
Recipe:
1. Mix ground beef with bread crumbs in a large bowl until fully combined.
2. Saute minced garlic and ground beef mixture in a large pan until brown. Add spices, garlic and tomato paste to the mixture and continue to simmer
3. Once fully cooked, add kidney beans and corn.
4. In a separate pot, boil water and cook noodles to box instructions.
5. Drain noodles and add chili mixture. Stir until combined.
6. Layer onto dehydrator trays, ensuring each layer is thin and spread out (cut up any small chunks)
7. Dehydrate at 160 degrees for 14 hours. Stir occasionally to make sure each tray is evenly dehydrating.
8. Separate into bags, add Mac and cheese powder, and store in cool, dry place or freezer.
9. Optional to add dehydrated milk or olive oil on the trail!!
Thank you for watching, and we will see you on the next one!
