In this video you’ll see how I achieved a blurry bokeh style background with Prismacolor colored pencils.
I am working on Bristol vellum paper that is taped to a drawing board, and am using Mona Lisa odorless mineral spirits to blend with a synthetic taklon bristle brush.
If you already have Prismacolor colored pencils, that’s great! If you do not have colored pencils yet and you want to try out the medium, I recommend getting a small set of either FABER-CASTELL Polychromos colored pencils or Caran D’ACHE Luminance colored pencils. They’re fantastic quality and I can’t wait to get a huge set of each!!
