POV: My car broke a differential mount, and then my Sequoia breaks while towing my broken car. So I borrow this Silverado, and it breaks down too!
This is a DIY video for how to change the radiator in your GMT 800 Silverado (1999-2006) . This was on a 2002 1500HD, which had both engine and trans coolers, but check before you buy your radiator as some only come with one cooler.
Tools needed to do this job were a 10 and 13mm socket, some pliers for the hose clamps, a straight slot screw driver for the intake boot, a pushpin tool and a pick for the quick disconnects.
You will need about 2 gallons of coolant total if I remember correctly.
I had the upper rad support cover and the grille off because I had to JB weld the old radiator in order to get home, but you shouldn't need to remove either of those to do this job.
