Cyndi Lauper & Xuxa, Hey Now, Xala Clip, 1994

#Xuxa começou seu programa infantil na TV brasileira nos anos 80, quando #CyndiLauper dominava as paradas musicais ao redor do planeta, ao lado de Michael Jackson, Boy George, Tina Turner, Madonna e outros grandes artistas, talvez por isso Xuxa sempre demonstrou ser fã da Cyndi.
Nos anos 90, Xuxa era uma das maiores audiências da TV brasileira e em 1994 ela inaugurou um novo quadro no programa de TV que ela apresentava na TV globo, foi o Xala Clip, onde passava vídeo clipe ou recebia alguma banda e comentavam sobre o clipe ou a música da banda.
A estréia do Xala Clip foi com o vídeo clip de Hey Now, da Cyndi, que havia acabado de se apresentar no Brasil e estava fazendo muito sucesso com a coletânea “Twelve Deadly Cyns...and then some”.
Nesse vídeo uma das crianças é ninguém menos que a maravilhosa #TatáWerneck, com a mesma carinha que tem até hoje, muito legal!
É divertido assistir e ver os comentários da Xuxa, elogiando a Cyndi, falando sobre o visual dela e, no final, ficando de saco cheio com as perguntas das crianças rsrsrs
No finalzinho os comentários soam estranhos para os dias de hoje.
Naquela época, 1994, não tinha veiculação de muita informação sobre como se deveria tratar corretamente as pessoas com orientação sexual, gênero, aparência, atitude ou qualquer aspecto que não se encaixasse na esfera heteronormativa.
Alguns comentários no vídeo são prova disso. Nem a Xuxa nem a menina queriam desrespeitar ou menosprezar mas não sabiam como se referir às drags e trans que abrilhantaram o vídeo de Hey Now, juntamente com a Cyndi.
Até nisso Cyndi foi uma precursora e contribuiu para a inclusão e aceitação da comunidade LGBTQIA+
Espero que o vídeo não seja bloqueado, não tenho os direitos autorais. Eu gravei direto da TV, quando passou, em 1994, em uma fita vhs, e agora que consegui digitalizar achei que merecia ser compartilhado com o resto do mundo rsrsrs

In the 90s, Xuxa was one of the largest audiences on Brazilian TV and in 1994 she inaugurated a new attraction on the TV show she presented on TV Globo, it was the Xala Clip, where she played a video clip or received a band and commented on the clip or the band's music.

At the very end the comments sound strange for today.
At that time, 1994, there was not much information available on how to properly treat people with sexual orientation, gender, appearance, attitude or any aspect that did not fit the heteronormative sphere.
Some comments in the video are proof of that. Neither Xuxa nor the girl wanted to disrespect or belittle but did not know how to refer to the drags and trans that brightened the video for Hey Now, together with Cyndi.
Even in that Cyndi was a precursor and contributed to the inclusion and acceptance of the LGBTQIA + community
I hope the video is not blocked, I don't have the copyright. I recorded it straight from TV, when it was, in 1994, on a vhs tape, and now that I managed to turn it into a DVD I thought it deserved to be shared with the rest of the world lol
