This session introduces project professionals to the core ideas, real-world impacts, and practical actions linked to climate justice. Climate justice recognises that climate impacts are uneven and often fall hardest on communities with the least power, resources, and representation. It also highlights how climate solutions can unintentionally reinforce inequality if they are not designed with fairness, inclusion, and human impact in mind.
In this session, we’ll explore:
-What climate justice means, including its history and why justice is central to effective climate action.
-Who is most impacted by climate injustice, using examples across Europe.
What it takes to make climate justice real, supported by practical examples and community-level solutions.
-How project professionals can take action
Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of climate justice and its impact on projects.
