Quick demo of using a vertical mill and our HF-2400 head fixture with Serdi style insert tooling to accurately cut very hard powdered metal seats.
EDIT: For those that notice the cutter deflection, THIS A FULL RADIUS CUT ON A DURABOND POWDERED METAL SEAT. If you've never cut seats, much less PM seats, most machine won't even come close to being able to handle a cut like this at 240 rpm without severe chatter. I'm applying heavy pressure to demonstrate, and come back with lighter pressure to finish. A single point tool has no opposing pressure, and will deflect on hard material like powdered metal.
