🎥高知県に派遣された東ティモール人技能実習生７人。日本での始めの１ヶ月は管理団体での研修でした。卒業試験ではこの１ヶ月を日本語で振り返ります。共に研修期間を過ごした実習生仲間との別れ、そしてついに各職場・住居での新生活、技能実習が始まります。

🎥Seven technical intern trainees from Timor-Leste were dispatched to Kochi Prefecture in Japan.
Their first month in Japan was spent in training with a supervising organization.
For their final exam, they look back on this month in Japan.
After spending the training period together, they now part ways as each begins their own internship.

このシリーズ動画の目的は、雇用機会や社会経験が圧倒的に不足している東ティモールの若者たちに「働く」その対価として「報酬を得る」ことの仕組みや意義、「ふるさと」「出稼ぎ」「人生を切り拓く」ことなどについて改めて考えを深めてもらうきっかけを提供するともに、日本と東ティモール、二国間の理解や文化交流が深まることも期待しています。この若く小さく夢に溢れた小さな島国の人々の魅力を日本のみなさんにも知ってもらいたいと思っています。

MONJO VIDEO WORKS is a video production company based in Timor-Leste.
We are currently seeking sponsors to support an ongoing video project documenting Timorese technical interns working in Japan.
The purpose of this video series is to provide young people in Timor-Leste—many of whom face a lack of employment opportunities and limited exposure to the outside world—with an opportunity to reflect on the meaning of "working" and "earning a living." Through the experiences of those working abroad, the series aims to spark deeper thinking about themes such as “hometown,” “migrant work,” and “paving one’s own path in life.”
We also hope this project will help foster mutual understanding and cultural exchange between Japan and Timor-Leste. Ultimately, we want to share the dreams, resilience, and unique charm of the people of this small yet vibrant island nation with audiences in Japan and beyond.
