My dad, special effects makeup artist Tony Gardner, and I sit down with Oscar-winning makeup artist Bill Corso for a deep dive into the 1993 cult classic Freaked (directed by Alex Winter) —but this conversation goes way beyond the film itself. My dad and Bill have known each other for decades, and it all starts with how they first met while working together on The Blob (1988). In today's episode we rewind the clock to the early ’90s and get into what it was really like creating some of the most outrageous practical effects of the era.
