While walking our dog, we unexpectedly spotted a stray mother dog leading five puppies foraging for food by the riverbank. According to a neighbor, the dog had been wandering there for a long time before giving birth. I immediately went home and prepared food for them. They were extremely wary, hiding under the bridge.
