Interview: Tenacious D on Pick of Destiny Sequel and Bob Odenkirk

Tenacious D continue to melt faces more than a quarter century into their career. The duo of Jack Black and Kyle Gass are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their self-titled debut album with a "Super Power Party Pack" release, featuring a bevy of goodies.

Heavy Consequence recently had the honor of chatting with Black and Gass over video Zoom. In the new video segment above, the duo discuss their origins, the impact Bob Odenkirk and David Cross had on their career, and how recently retired legendary sportscaster Marv Albert played an important role in the band's name.

They also talk about whether they'd endorse a Tenacious D hologram tour, as well as the chances of a sequel to their cult-favorite movie Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year.
