Drawing from Scripture, imagination, and echoes of Tolkien and C. S. Lewis to explore the wonder of Eternity putting on flesh and walking among ordinary folk.

In this episode, we reflect on how:

Eternity put on flesh and learned hunger, time, and tenderness

Heaven became small enough to fit in a stable

Suffering was no longer a sign of God’s absence, but the very ground He chose to walk

Love became a Person, forgiveness found a face, and hope gained a living heartbeat

From Bethlehem’s straw to the rolling green hills of our own Shire-like lives, we are reminded that nothing is merely common anymore—because God has been here. Even interruptions (yes, including a very opinionated donkey 🫏) become part of the fellowship when grace dwells among us.

We close in prayer, lifting our hearts to the Prince of Peace who was first rocked to sleep before He would one day carry the weight of the world—and invite you to carry that same peace, joy, and hope into your days, no matter the season.
