One of the most difficult jobs in the bee yard is removing loaded honey supers and moving the hives, especially when you are as old as I am. Of course if you are lucky enough to have help doing the job, it becomes much easier. However, there are a lot of beekeepers who fly solo in their apiary and for this group of folks I have an idea you may want to consider, buying a hive lift.

Please note, I am NOT endorsing the lift that was used in this video, but it did prove helpful and I could certainly see the benefits of having one myself. Joey was very satisfied with this lift, and as you saw, he even gave the manufacturer a shout out.

I would strongly suggest that if you do consider looking into purchasing a lift for yourself, do your own research to protect your investment. I went on line and saw a few different manufacturers, but there were not that many. For those interested in the lift that we used here is the contact info:
