Meshtastic: Off-Grid Texting and GPS With a Solar-Powered Radio

In this video, I build a solar-powered Meshtastic radio node from start to finish — drilling, wiring, sealing, and configuring it for off-grid use.

Meshtastic is an open-source project that lets you send text messages and GPS data completely off-grid, using small LoRa radios instead of cell towers or Wi-Fi. It’s perfect for outdoor communication, remote projects, or just learning how mesh networks work.
