Harley Sportster 48 Battery and Regulator Test using Multimeter

How to test your Harley battery and stator/regulator using a multimeter. How to install a new Harley battery.

For reference:
Healthy Battery with bike off: 12.1 to 12.4 volts. HIgher than 12.4 is fine (mine read 12.7).
Healthy battery with bike on idle: 14v
When revving the bike, if volts jump up to 15+ or dips below 14, then the battery is bad.
