The Danish classic rockers Kuko De Kobra return with their third album: GaneShaMan.
With a couple of really well-received albums under their belt as well as domestic airplay in their native Denmark Kuko De Kobra is a prime example of how fresh and exciting hard rock still can sound several years after the genre's heyday.

With their motto being: ”Melody is king and the riff is the crown prince” the trio create solid, durable songs with a great love for hard rock sounds of the 70's and 90's, but also add a nice helping of inspired singer/songwriter traits, power pop, punk and psychedelia into the mix.
GaneShaMan is an intriguing album. To the casual rock fan it can and should certainly be enjoyed as nothing more than a fine collection of well-crafted rock songs. But the more adventurous listener can also choose to dive further into the stories of the songs. There they will discover that GaneShaMan is also a concept album about three childhood friends diverging from the paths they set for themselves only to meet dead ends. GaneShaMan can almost be seen as a kind of roman à clef told with the help from loud guitars.
GaneShaMan is arguably the most focused Kuko De Kobra album to date. By bassist and vocalist John Sharlings own admission it contains some of the very best songs he has ever written. From the radio friendly and instantly hummable melodies of “Star In A Strange Play” and “A Fugazi T-Shirt” via the brooding melancholy of “Waiting On A Broken Bird” to the all out heavy stomping and fist pumping action of a track like “Vahana” and “BED”.
For the second time Martin Pagaard Wolff takes the role as producer and multi instrumentalist while internationally renowned guitarist Martin J. Andersen yet again delivers his share of competent, soulful, bluesy solos.
With GaneShaMan Kuko De Kobra strive to prove once again that great songs written and played with passion has no sell by date in sight.
