ipdVolvo - Quick Strut Assembly

Replacing a strut assembly looks like it would be a complicated ordeal to remove and replace in a Volvo. We agree that it looks intimidating, especially when you have to hunt for each component, assemble those parts, remove the old unit and install the new. In order to assemble it yourself, it requires a bit of know how as well as some special tools that you may only need to use once.

One of those tools is a spring compressor and if you aren't familiar with how to use one, it has the potential to be a dangerous experience. To avoid this and make this job easier to tackle for the average do-it-yourselfer, we've preassembled the strut stack by making quick struts. This means that we've already sourced the strut assembly components as well as preassembled them so all you have to do is remove the old unit and pop in the new one with a few, easy to access, bolts.
