FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT WALK FEATURING NEWENT AND ACORN WOOD

The Gloucestershire town of Newent is another location I hadn’t visited in any of my early films and, although it’s technically outside the Forest of Dean “proper”, it still falls within the Forest of Dean District.

It makes this a nice variation compared to many of my other Forest of Dean films as the walk passes through more farmland scenery as opposed to forest.

Filmed in the Forest of Dean District in the county of Gloucestershire. Locations include Newent, Acorn Wood, Clifford’s Mesne and a brief glance at the grounds of the International Centre for Birds of Prey. This is part of the series of films in 2018 celebrating 25 years of “The Solitary Rambler”.
