One Year of Epic Trout Fishing: Celebrating Our Journey with Brown Trout!

So Alfred looked at me and mentioned July 11, 2023. The significance of that date dawned on me as it was the date Alfred and I put out our 1st video. He therefore suggested we put out an anniversary video for July 11, 2024.
Good thinking thought I. Why didn’t I think of that. I guess the answer would be pretty simple, I catch the fish and Alfred worries how to put the segments together.
So happy anniversary to us as we’d like to thank all the viewers who’ve taken the time to look at 1 or 2 of Alfred’s creations. Both he and I have certainly enjoyed the past year, and we hope you have also.

Well today started with a lot of fauna just minutes from my house.
Turned on to a semi important street and 40’ in front of me was a skunk walking across the street. By the time I got to it, no time for a video as it was just entering a hole under a front porch. Nice home. Not 30 seconds later, on the side walk median, a deer was browsing, oblivious to the traffic around it. AND just over the bridge seconds later, a fox was walking up towards me on the sidewalk. By the time I turned around, it was crossing the road as I caught it going home, I hope. Another quick pass by the deer and then finally I could head out to the country where all the fauna was supposed to be!
I had an idea of how I was going to fish the today’s stream and I was hoping for some sunshine. Predators such as the browns, face upstream so see the prey coming towards them as they assess whether to attack immediately or wait as it passes by. I was hoping to have my bait close to the stream bed to have it bump under its hiding spot as it waited to ambush a tail or a worm. Sunshine would allow me to see the logs a tad better.
It ended up being a great day and although I couldn’t practise my technique as much as I would have liked, the results were great.

To all the past viewers, thanks for taking the time to watch. We’re very happy with the scenery AND the fish. Hopefully season 2 will continue with more great vids.
