湯ノ湖から流れ落ちる迫力満点の滝
湯ノ湖の南端にある高さ70メートル、長さ110メートルの滝で、湯川をせき止めて湯ノ湖をつくった三岳溶岩流の岩壁を湖水が流れ落ちます。
滝壺近くに観爆台があり、迫力ある姿を間近に眺めることができます。
湯滝を流れ落ちた水は、戦場ヶ原を流れる湯川となり、竜頭滝を下って中禅寺湖へ流入します。
湯滝は華厳滝、霧降滝、裏見滝、竜頭滝とあわせて「日光五名瀑」と称され、人気の観光スポットの1つとなっています。
A powerful waterfall flowing down from Lake Yunoko
Located at the southern end of Lake Yunoko, this 70-meter-high, 110-meter-long waterfall cascades down the rock wall of the Mitake lava flow that created Lake Yunoko by holding back the Yugawa River.
There is a viewing platform near the waterfall basin, where visitors can get a close-up view of the powerful waterfall.
The water that flows down Yudaki Falls becomes the Yugawa River that flows through Senjogahara and flows down Ryuzutaki Falls into Lake Chuzenji.
Together with Kegon Falls, Kirifuri Falls, Uramidaki Falls, and Ryuzutaki Falls, Yudaki Falls is known as one of the "Five Famous Waterfalls of Nikko" and is a popular tourist spot.
