tetraptera is een soort bloeiende plant uit de erwtenfamilie afkomstig uit West-Afrika. De plant heet Prekese in de Twi-taal van Ghana. Het wordt ook Uhio genoemd in de Igbo-taal van Nigeria, De boom heeft veel toepassingen, tetrapleura is a genus of the legume family. The species in the genus are found in tropical West Africa, up to Kenya as the eastern border and Angola as the southern border.
