Overland Drawers Rebuild Part 1

In this video I will modify and rebuild the overland drawer system that was given to me last summer in order to incorporate some of the ideas I had while using it on my last overlanding trip AND eliminate the things I did not like! The first part of this serie is the creation of a fridge tilting mechanism in order to easily see and access the content of my ARB 50 QT fridge. Last summer I simply installed the ARB fridge slider on top of the drawer, however since the LX470 is quite high and the drawer system quite tall as well, it made it virtually impossible to see the content of the fridge nor could I fully open the lid of the fridge since the LX rear hatch was in the way. This drawer system was given to me and since my budget doesn't allow to purchase a new system but also because this system is 80% what i need, I will modify it. I am planning on spending as little as possible on this build and so I will be re-engineering and recycling as much of the current drawer as possible by reclaiming some of the wood.

As with most of the build of my 2000 Lexus LX470, I tend to wing almost every aspect of the design.... I research on youtube a lot prior to get started but then I just go to the garage and start going for it! To be frank I like it like that and that's usually when I come up with the best stuff.
