Royal Enfield recently launched their first heated down jacket and I have been using it since the beginning of 2025. In this video, I'll tell you how my experience has been with it and whether I think a heated jacket is better than a regular down jacket.
You can check out the jacket here: https://store.royalenfield.com/en/hea...
Quick take:
• The jacket has large graphene insulated pads on the back, shoulders and chest that heat up when connected to a power bank.
• There are three heat modes and they keep you warm even with minimal layers. 25, 35 and 45 degrees heating.
• Very easy to operate. There is a USB plug in the inside pocket - plug in your power bank and forget about it.
• It will keep you warm and toasty even in temperatures close to zero. I paired it with a half sleeved T-shirt in 4 degree Celsius Mussoorie.
• The pockets and the hood are fleeced, which feels like a nice touch - keeps you warm and fuzzy.
• It doesn’t look like a jacket made by a motorcycle company. It looks like a proper down jacket; very upmarket, subtle yet stylish.
• The price is fair. Rs 10,000 for a heated jacket isn’t asking for much.
• I’d like Royal Enfield to launch more colours, if possible. It currently is available in this dark grey and a yellow.
Disclaimer: I asked Royal Enfield to send me this jacket for a review. I did not pay for it. However, as always, my opinions are genuine.
