“Invisible Wounds” is the first segment of our Gender-Based Violence film series, focusing on the harsh and often overlooked reality of physical violence. While bruises and scars may fade with time, the pain, fear, and trauma endured by survivors often remain unseen and unspoken.
Through this film, we bring to light how physical violence occurs within homes and communities, especially in refugee settings where silence, stigma, and fear can protect perpetrators and isolate survivors. Our vision is to use storytelling as a tool for awareness, reflection, and action—challenging harmful norms and encouraging communities to recognize violence, speak out, and support survivors.
At JibaPictures Media House, we believe film has the power to educate, heal, and drive social change. Invisible Wounds is not just a film; it is a call to acknowledge the pain that many carry quietly and to stand together in the fight against GBV.
