One of just six such models built in 1933, this brilliantly restored Lincoln KB 253 7-Passenger Phaeton features unique 45-degree side windows and aluminum coachwork by Lincoln. Its fully documented history extends back through only three owners: from 1933 to 1947 it was owned by the Pawinski family, during which time it was once used to chauffeur U.S. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt from Michigan Central Station to Gary City Hall in 1939; in 1947 it was purchased by Mr. Leon Wolek, who drove the car to American Legion conventions across the country in the 1950s, including a trip to New York City in 1952 during which it was driven by television giant Ed Sullivan. Now with its third owner, the car still moves under the power of its original powertrain, headed by the jewel-like 448 CI L-head V-12 engine that once showcased Lincoln’s industry-leading engineering prowess. This imposing yet graceful machine is more than a great American classic car; it is a rolling object d’art overflowing with exquisite details wrought by masterful workmanship.
