Hi everyone! I have been looking forward to sharing a cover of this song for quite some time now- it's a song I've loved since I was very young. "Papa Can You Hear Me" is such a spiritual piece full of questions and longing. One many of us can relate to. Can I rave about the film it comes from for a moment? "Yentl" is a work of art in my opinion: A masterful achievement by Barbra Streisand in all roles. Not only is this film one of the most beautiful celebrations of Judaism I've ever seen, but the narrative of the film onscreen and behind the scenes embodies true feminism through-and-through. Not to mention- the music serving as Yentl's inner monologue is nothing short of spiritual. And, I'll say it- This film is SEXY.
