Knitting Podcast Ep. 34 | New Cast Ons, Pain, and My Struggle with Garments This Year

Hi, and welcome to my channel! I’m Emily — a mid-size knitter, crocheter, and all-round fibre enthusiast from North Nottinghamshire, UK. Here you’ll find cozy knitting podcasts, crochet chats, size-inclusive makes, and plenty of budget-friendly yarn talk.

I’m a serial test knitter, sample knitter, and proud caster-onner. Right now I’m focusing on stash-busting and finding creative ways to work with the yarn I already have, while (hopefully!) finishing more projects.

This week’s episode is a bit of an honest one. I’ve been dealing with a lot of pain lately, so my making has slowed down a little — but I’ve still managed a few new cast ons, and a lot of reflection on what’s been working (and not working) in my knitting this year. I also chat about why garments haven’t quite gone to plan and my frustration with that.
