Discovering Mayapur - Kartik Parikrama 2025

This video continues our Kartik Parikrama, observed this year in Sri Mayapur Dham, honoring the teaching that Mayapur and Vrindavan are non-different. The journey unfolds through sacred places of Navadvipa, revealing the heart of Gaudiya Vaishnavism and the mercy flowing through the disciplic succession.

We begin at Yogapith, the divine birthplace of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, where the Sankirtan movement appeared to uplift all souls. From there, the parikrama moves through Godrumadwip, the island of kirtan, highlighting the life, courage, and spiritual vision of Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur, who revived pure bhakti and rediscovered Yogapith for the world.

The narration then brings us to Katwa, the sacred place of Mahaprabhu’s acceptance of sannyasa—an act of supreme compassion meant to reach every conditioned soul. We continue to Champahati, glorified by Sri Jayadeva Goswami, where the Gita Govinda was composed, revealing the truth that love alone rules over the Supreme Lord.

The parikrama also visits Shantipur, the home of Sri Advaita Acharya, and recalls the deeply moving prayers of Srila Prabhupada before his historic journey to the West - prayers that would later blossom into a worldwide Sankirtan movement.

Further darshans include Nrisimhapalli, Harihara Kshetra, Ambika Kalna, and the homes of Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur, weaving together renunciation and family life, courage and humility, scholarship and deep devotion.

This episode is a remembrance of sacred places, exalted devotees, and the living current of mercy flowing from Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu—carried forward through chanting, service, and heartfelt prayer.
