Phases of Insulin Secretion in Type 2 Diabetes | CDE exam Tips

PART 1 continuation: This is a continuation of the previous presentation on PHASES OF INSULIN SECRETION, but we focus on Type 2 Diabetes
-The phases of insulin secretion in a person with T2DM can vary dramatically(especially phase 1) in comparison to a person with no diabetes. Due to this reduction in insulin response blood glucose levels are not adequately controlled.
-We will also show a comparison of an insulin secretion curve in response to glucose in a person with NO DIABETES vs. a person with T2DM and discuss the differences in insulin response.
