I’m a big Gordon Lightfoot fan. This is a more unknown song by him, written long after his commercial successful period in the 70s. Good songwriters will keep on writing good songs even if they are not successful anymore.

Anyways, “Restless” is a song that shows perfection when it comes to harmony between the lyrics and the melody. With four different verses and choruses, all with the right amount of words, of quality, the song is pretty impressive and I have always loved it.

For this recording we had a keyboard in the background to play that one note that is present throughout the song. Pretty funny how well it works.
