How To Retrofit REAR FOG LIGHTS On BMW X5 E53 | BOND Garage

In this video I'll show you how to retrofit rear fog lights to your BMW X5 E53. The cars for the US market don't come with this feature.
While modern cars might be prepared for this function and are easy to retrofit (like I did on the F10 here    • Retrofitting Rear Fog Lights on BMW F10 (U...   ), this olde model is not prepared for this function which means there's no wiring. I'll walk you through all steps to add this function for the E53 and what parts you need.

Parts I've used for this retrofit:
switch: 6909775 (off eBay for about $35 shipped)
bulbs: Osram 7506-02B https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...
bulb holder: BMW-63216943036 - ordered from FCPeuro
diverse pins: BMW-61130056960 (1x; for light switch), BMW-61130005201 (1x; for LCM in passenger footwell), BMW-61130056965 (1x; comes with 2 pins; for taillights), BMW-61131376202 (1x; for AHM / TCM in trunk) - ordered from FCPeuro

You'll also need a trailer control module since that is where the signal for the fog lights comes from.
