A day in my life as an international PhD student in Amsterdam | workshop in night science | VLOG

Hii! Here we continue with my PhD diaries (vlogs). Today I am going to talk about one of the most wonderful podcast series and take you with me to attend the workshop in how to be more creative with science. The workshop touched upon several topics including: Improvisational science; Questions and Contradiction; The two languages of science; Interdisciplinarity & Renaissance minds; The data-hypothesis conversation; Science as a meta-puzzle. It was so much fun! I've learnt a lot during these 8 hours and the biggest shout out to Itai Yanai and Martin Lercher. Their collaborative presentation skills are just astonishing and engaging. A little bit about me: I am a PhD student at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in bioinformatics and neurochemistry. My research is about biomarkers of neurodegenerative diseases. I also teach structural bioinformatics and biostatistics, supervise Master and Bachelor students' thesis works and literature reviews. I hope you enjoy my little PhD vlog.
