Finally getting back this go kart project and after doing the initial engine swap from the 150cc 9hp GY6 to the new 440cc Duromax 18hp engine (plus mods), we found that the cheap 30 series torque converter setup I bought off Amazon for under $100 wasnt cutting it as it would murder belts within minutes.
Rather than spend nearly $400 on a Go Powersports 40 series I wanted to play around with the idea of simply swapping pulleys out from 30 series to 40 series and keeping my original backing plate.
