Esteemed, ground-breaking author and scholar Dr. Joyce King discusses “What Does Equity vs. Equality for Inclusion and Social Justice Look Like in Higher Education?” This event was hosted by Golden Gate University and moderated by Vice President of University Advancement Henry W. Taylor.
Dr. Joyce King holds the Benjamin E. Mays Endowed Chair for Urban Teaching, Learning and Leadership in the Department of Educational Policy Studies in the College of Education and Human Development at Georgia State University. She is an affiliated faculty member in the Department of Africana Studies, the Women’s and Gender Studies Institute, and the Urban Studies Institute. The most recent of her nine books are “Heritage Knowledge in the Curriculum: Retrieving an African Episteme” and “We Be Lovin’ Black Children: Learning to Be Literate about the African Diaspora.”
