Originally unveiled in Paris in October 6th, 2009, Alexander McQueen's Plato's Atlantis collection was presented at Paris Fashion Week on October 6, 2009, at the 12th arrondissement indoor arena in Paris.
this show was not only McQueen’s final complete runway collection BEFORE HIS PASSING, but also a defining moment in fashion, technology, and artistry.
The show was the first live-streamed fashion show and was a pivotal moment for the brand, according to a fashion history site.

The show was a theatrical display inspired by the concept of humanity adapting to a submerged world due to climate change, drawing inspiration from Plato's mythical island and Charles Darwin's theory of evolution.
