I hunted down a knock from the 3.6L / 6L50E combo and found a rattling flexplate. I hope that the replacement fixes the knock. This video mostly documents removing the transmission without dropping the cradle from the car. It is unique on the InterTubz because I did not remove the hard coolant line between the rad and front and rear of the engine to remove the heater core hose tube that prevents one of the transmission bolts from being removed.
I'm working on the ground and not with a lift, so I'd estimate that my time on the transmission removal is around 8-10 hours so far including a bunch of diagnosis time and excluding numerous hours of research because I don't have a manual for the car.
