Hi friends. Here is a quick update on pouring mediums & cell mixes. As you all know my mixes change and evolve quite frequently and I will try to keep you all in the loop..
For the last pieces on black my mixes have been as follows..
Black base is Wallmart CIL black Onyx. It is quite thick so I have added approx 75% floeteol to my paint. Yes more floeteol than paint. Mix and mix and mix again..
I have changed my pouring medium as well. I have found a medium I am happy with and it has eliminated the glue (less expense) and its super easy too!
Behr 8300 ultra deep base /minwax polyacrylic... I am mixing 1/1..
pouring medium to paint is 2/1.. I add water ar this point to assure my paints the same consistency.
Swipe mix is 3/1 Aussie Floeteol/Amsterdam paint.
My colors for both of these pieces are the same..
White deco art satin enamel/Amsterdam titanium white, magenta, gold ocre, TLP caramel drizzle & Horizon, mystery green & gold. Ex pigment in pumpkin.
