Severn Valley Railway - Autumn Steam Gala - 20-21/09/2024

The weekend of the 19th - 22nd of September saw the Severn Valley Railway hold their annual Autumn steam gala. The loco roster for this event consisted of four resident locos, four guest engines and a DMU providing extra capacity on the local services between Kidderminster and Highley alongside guest L&YR class 23 no. 11456 on Saturday, and 57xx 7714 on Thursday and Sunday. The three other guests, 2999 Lady of Legend, 44932 and 45596 Bahamas worked the main passenger trains up the entire length of the line with 4930 Hagley Hall, 75069 and 13268, with 75069 and 4930 being put on evening demonstration goods runs. 11456 was intended to work the Kidderminster - Highley local on Friday but unfortunately had to be taken out of service for urgent minor repairs, but was fixed and operational again by Friday evening.
