The Shimano Outlier 7'4" Medium Heavy (OUC74MH) rod is ideal for fishing swimbaits in the 1/2 to 2-ounce range. The dynamic rod features a fast action with a parabolic bend, making it excellent for treble hook baits and to keep fish pinned during the fight.

The Shimano team designed the OUC74MH with a shorter handle for more accurate casting around cover and an overall shorter length compared to the rest of the Outlier series, making it easier to maneuver than long rods. Outlier rods are constructed with Hi-Power X and Spiral X technology to minimize blank twist and enhance strength without adding weight. The rod was designed with a focus on strength, action, and weight and features double-foot Fuji K SiC guides for added durability.
