Paul O'Farrell, ASU Duty Manager, Dublin Airport Authority explains when traveling with a baby and young children what can and cannot be brought through Dublin Airport Security Screening.
When you arrive at the screening point, collapse or fold your buggy or pram and place on the x-ray belt for inspection. All carry-on baggage, including children's bags and items, must go through the x-ray machine.
All child-related equipment that will fit through the x-ray machine must go through the x-ray machine -- prams, buggies, baby carriers, car and booster seats. Items that are in the pockets, baskets, or trays attached to the prams / buggy must be removed and placed on the x-ray belt separately for inspection.
Medications, baby formula, milk and are allowed if essential for use during the trip. You may pass the infant to another person (family member) behind you while you pass through the metal detector or carry the infant through the metal detector yourself.
