Shepherding Etiquette | 3 Guidelines when Calling for Back-Up

Do you call for back-up? Are you off mic? This video is for you! Here are some recommendations for shepherding etiquette to help make the community better.

1:43 Wait for the endorsement!
• Those helping are not farming the gear from your world. Aside from being helpful, we want the shepherding rank from being endorsed. Please donʻt leave the helper behind before the endorsement comes through. It is appreciated.

2:45 Take the lead.
• You asked for help, so please take the lead. We will follow, we will help.
• For me, I try to let you play the game still and back you up. Itʻs your world, you are the leader.
• Donʻt be intimidated by anyoneʻs SHD rank. Higher SHD rank, doesn't always mean "better player."

3:32 Don't spam the "pick-up" button.
• If you go down, PLEASE don't rapid press the pick-up button. Press it once, and that's it.
• Actually, you don't have to press it at all. Veterans know you went down, ISAC said so. We will pick you up once it is safe to come by and pick you up.
Extra tip, you can also "give up" fast travel to a nearby safe point, and fast travel back.

9:39 Turn on your in-game Keyboard.
*Settings - Accessibility - On-Screen Keyboard - Yes.
To use the keyboard, press down on your D-Pad to open it up. Type, then send.

This is a great way to still communicate with others, especially if you prefer to be off mic or don't have one.
