"Beyond The Road" is my college honors thesis. It is a documentary exploring the heart of overlanding, which takes a journey that goes beyond the miles traveled to rediscover simplicity, connection, and responsibility. Through stunning landscapes, expert insights, and personal reflection, this film dives into the environmental impacts of overlanding and the steps we can take to preserve the wild places we love for future generations. Featuring interviews with professional outdoor educators and U.S. Forest Service rangers, "Beyond The Road" challenges viewers to rethink their role as adventurers and stewards of the land.
Filmed on a Sony a7 IV, GoPro Hero 8, and Skydio 2 drone. Edited in Adobe Premiere Pro.
