Milton HS's Fall ensemble for 2022! As an initial warm-up the MHS Battery plays an exercise sequence called Samba. It is focused around initiating stick movement with a flexible and elastic turn or "knocking on the door motion". Once the motion is established, the ensemble navigates through different tempos, sticking patterns, and samba grooves, all with the intent to stay in the ensemble sound and maintain the elasticity of the wrist. The sequence ends with two reps of our 8s/Accent Tap exercise.
