Please join the College of Arts & Letters on April 27th at 4pm for a conversation with Gordon Henry entitled Living Nations, Living Words: Contemporary American Indian Poetry in the United States. For this presentation, Professor Henry will be reviewing U.S. Poet Laureate Joy Harjo’s signature project in collaboration with the U.S. Library of Congress. In that review, he will offer a brief overview of the history of American Indian Literature in the United States. He will also share insights on his inclusion and participation in the project. Closing the presentation with a brief poetry reading from Henry's newly published collection, Spirit Matters: White Clay, Red Exits, Distant Others.
